Current mood: indescribable

None to speak of
Ready for today’s recap? Don’t blink, because you might miss it. Raining, lunch at home, orphanage visit, laundry in the bathtub, watched a DVD, dinner, the end. We made a rice dish for lunch with some soy “meat” donated to us by Eugene’s mom. It was… interesting.

It may appear that I’m getting lazy here, but seriously, there was nothing noteworthy to write about today. Instead, here are 6 pictures of the cutest baby this side of the Ural Mountains. One of them also features the beautiful Mrs.

I’ll leave you with some observations about Kostanai, since this is such a paltry entry. There are currency exchange houses (little banks) every thirty feet here. It’s like Starbucks. All of them have different exchange rates, and there literally must be 200 of them in this small town. We cannot figure out why this would be. There is NO tourism here. Another quirky thing is getting change. Usually, you get approximately what you expect, plus or minus 5 to 10 cents. If they don’t have the right change on hand, you get what they can give you. We figure it all evens out in the end.

One other note and I’m calling it a night. Sarah and I have now spent roughly 760 of the last 765 hours together. Speaking for myself here, I think it’s a testament to my decision making ability that I chose to marry someone who has yet to raise even a specter of ire in me for the last 32 days. I done good. (Of course, Sarah’s ready to shove me off a bridge, but hey, can you blame her?) We’re going to have to start finding things to argue about soon, just to pass the time and keep it interesting around here. Any suggestions?

Tomorrow has promise of a much more interesting day. In the business, we call this a cliffhanger. Keep on keeping on.

Okay, well, how about the time you told me you dreaded spending two days with Sarah on the plane ride, let alone two months in an apartment? Or when you said that you'd be leaving with one but coming home with two needy, whiny broads? Or, you could bring up the time you returned all of your birthday presents from her because, as you put it, they were "horribly stupid, inane, and repulsive." And then of course there was your bachelor party....the one that she didn't know about, you know, the secret one (by the way, Trixie says hi.)
Man, you are an a-hole. Kudos to Sarah for not turning you over to the Kazakh police by now.

Congratulations! Secretly I was hoping they would throw in a bonus child (a boy) - 2 for the price of one. Next stop - the animal shelter...to complete the family? Love, Loretta & Kent
