The news in brief...
Hi folks. It’s very late and we’ve been out all day, sadly not doing anything very exciting, so this will be a brief entry. Sorry. Or conversely, you’re welcome.

We had lunch on our own today and I’m pleased to say that my Russian skills are to the point where I can order both Sarah and I a meal exactly to our specifications. Yes it’s true that we went to Knick Knack, where we’ve been many many times, and ordered the same food we always do, with a waitress who has served us countless times before, but still. Russian ain’t pig-latin. It’s hard. So yay us.

Weather is nice. We had our visit (Asella is the bestest, cutest, most adorable, etc., etc.) Sat in a car for 20 minutes while Eugene did stuff, went to Ed & Joan’s, did laundry, watched a few movies, ate dinner at 8:30, the end.

Tomorrow is our last day as a couple. Saturday we will be a tripod, or triceratops, or something else that starts with “tri.”

Loretta Shields here from West Hills, CA - Darn! The airline could not accommodate the exchange of airline tickets from Hawaii to Kazakhstan. We're stuck going to Hawaii. Therefore I would like to give my 4 star meal at the famous 4 star Castle restaurant to my grand niece, Asella. I think her "gotcha" day on the 6th needs to be celebrated in style. Please dress her appropriately.

Have a safe trip back. This will be Asella's first lesson in airplane etiquette - don't kick the seat in front of you. Good luck! Aloha!

Too funny... yesterday Shelby was trying to explain to me that she was about to finish her 3rd of 4 trimesters in school. It took me quite a while to get it through her noggin that "tri" means THREE.

Tricycle. Trifocals. If at first you don't succeed, tri, tri again? Hmmm... No, that's not right.

Have a great Gotcha Day!!!! Tomorrow should afford some great photo ops! Just keep 'em clean, PLEASE! -Nina

You will be a Cold Cut Trio, a Three-Egg Omelette, The Three Little Pigs, Three Times a Lady (sort of), The Unholy Trinity, Triple Mocha Latte, Three Coins In The Fountain, a Tribunal, The Lord Of the Rings Trilogy, And Baby Makes Three, Three Days of the Condor, Three French Hens (previously Two Turtle Doves), a Triocracy, Three Blind Mice, The Three Wise Men (not really), The Three Stooges (really), A Deli Trio Pannido, The Three Amigos, a Tri-State Area, The Three Muskateers, and finally just 3...and that's a magic number.

And what a triumph it shall be! (Okay, so the "tri" didn't mean "three" in that instance. What the hell.)

I just can't compete with #3's tribute to your trio of a tribe-to-be!

Have fun tomorrow!

If Asella remembers Kazak, Russian and learns English, she will be TRIlingual.
Good luck!
